LECTURAS BASICAS (SPANISH I)
These are basic reading assignments that will help with vocabulary development as well as reading comprehension.
The assignments below will be required at an appropriate date during the marking period.
Marking period 1
1.Pick out ten nouns from the short story <El Patito Feo>,they must be nouns you do not have on any vocabulary lists you've had until now
2.Then write down the definitions based on the sentence in which it appears.
3.Lastly, illustrate the ten new nouns by drawing it by hand or by computer. (For example, el patito, would be illustrated as a duckling; you can't use this noun as one of the ten, since it's the example) The story is found on the following link: http://www.cuentosinfantiles.net/cuentos-el-patito-feo.html
Marking period 2
1.Listen and watch the video (Los tres cerditos) found on the homepage. Then write down 5 adjectives and 5 nouns from the video. The nouns and adjectives cannot be words found on any of your vocabulary lists you've had until now.
2.Then write down the definitions based on the sentence in which it appears.
3.Lastly, illustrate the 5 nouns and 5 adjectives by drawing it by hand or by computer. (For example, el cerdito, would be illustrated as a piglet; you can't use this noun as one of the ten words, since it's the example).
Marking period 3
1. Choose one of the other stories to read from the following link other than <El Patito Feo>.
2. Choose six verbs from the story that do not appear on the lists of vocabulary words you have learned this year. Write the sentence in which the verb appears in the story(with its definition next to it in parenthesis).
3.Lastly,use the verb in your own original sentence.
Marking period 4
Make a commercial in Spanish about any topic mentioned in the textbook. Make sure you use the following:
1. At least 20 vocabulary words learned this year (must be found in the book).
2. Your commercial must be at least 7 sentences long.
3. Use of ar/er/ir verbs as well as correct grammar in each sentence.
4. Commercial must be done with correct pronunciation and loud enough to hear.
**Can be submitted via email attachment, DVD, or flash drive!

3. Escribir un resume corto- 6 oraciones minimo de lo que aprendiste de este dia de fiesta
Marking period 2 & 3- Escuchar unos de los cuentos en el link y despues escribir un resume (10 oraciones minimo) http://albalearning.com/audiolibros/
Marking period 4- Para credito adicional puedes escribir un cuento o leyenda original (10 oraciones minimo) en espanol.
Acordarse de usar gramatica correcta y de incluir todas las partes de un cuento. Cuando y donde paso,con quienes, como paso y por que?
